Popular TV actress Sudha Shivpuri, (wife of late actor Om Shivpuri) best known as Baa from Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, passed away this morning. She was 77.
In 2013, the theatre and film actress had suffered a stroke. She was suffering from poor health since then.
Reports suggest that her demise is due to age-related illness. The funeral will take place in Oshiwara crematorium at 2.30 pm today.
She is survived by her children, former actress Ritu Shivpuri and Vineet Shivpuri.
The veteran actress started her Bollywood career with Basu Chatterjee’s Swami (1977). She then was seen in films like Insaaf Ka Tarazu, Hamari Bahu Alka, Sawan Ko Aane Do, The Burning Train and Maya Memsaab. But she gained popularity for her role of Baa in Ekta Kapoor’s TV soap.
